Round limit reached-split points ?

I wonder why i do not split points on this game with lorisbs
We both end up with the same amount of troops and regions in this game. ( lux is a +1 deploy i know ) this does not stand in any rules.

2014-01-12 00:56:03 - Round limit reached, 2 has the most troops followed by the most regions

I feel ripped of cuz pink wanted to see what would happen.

The rule should be changed, but rule changes begin in the Suggestions forum...:)

why should the rule be changed?

i can understand the op being annoyed about not getting points but now that he knows the rules, (& they are simple to understand & clearly state what is required to win) i don't see what should be changed.

It makes sense to me that there should be a possibility of a split decision in round limit games.

However, if that is too challenging from a technical viewpoint, and if we need a tiebreaking formula to preserve the logic of the game and have only 1 winner, then I believe it should be something like "terts" or "last deploy" rather than join order. In my tournaments, if there is a chance of a tie and I post tiebreaking rules (and I'll be the first to admit that I usually forget, lol) I will normally put "precendence (join order)" as a tiebreaker of last resort if all others have failed.

Anyway, I would support a change, but it isn't a burning priority, which is why I haven't bothered suggesting it myself.

The rule should be changed because join order is not a relevant metric by which a game winner should be determined. If anything it should be turn order because the last player to go has the strategic advantage in a Round Limits game.

I think i might post a suggestion about this afther a few good nights of sleep.

The order of wins when round limit can be extended,

Alot of possibilities are possible : player that joined the game first doesn't really make sense of who was the best in game.
=> people will rather make games themself instead of joining games with almost the same sort of setting. Only to have that little more chance on a possible win,Leaving some games open empty.
- the player who has the most troops due ( in this case that would have been Red )
- activity check ( turns missed)
- player order ( strategic advantage )
- regions taken in overall game ( dunno if this is possible in technical way ) game is about conquering...

The order should be:
  • Most troops
  • Most regions
  • Most troops due
  • Owner of the most pink elephants
  • Not so random choice from random.org
  • Owner of the least black and orange striped lesser known wombats
  • Join order
