How did whambot do that?

Whambot has a bronze bot medal. To get it, he needed to defeat 200 times himself. Did he win 200 times by nuking himself or something?

He probably won by deadbeats. I would bet that it's coded so that you win in a bot game and not necessarily against a bot

It's because of the way the logic with the bot medals work. whambot didn't have to defeat opponents in a bot game 200 times, he simply had to be in a game where he lost 200 times.

because bot games are programmed not to count towards those medals...

poor whambot! the programmers are unfair and bigots towards bots.
Also, couldn't there be some bots matchups so we could bet conquer credits on the winner? I'm pretty sure sassbot wouldn't win more than 60% vs whamboton the long run, whereas saxibot would go 70% or more on sassbot.

If the programmer for Whambot continues to work on it there is not doubt it will become a very strong player. I only need to reference Backgammon and Chess. If the bots come to a point of challenging the stronger players I see no reason it could not play by the same rules as everyone else. It would be great to play against an artificial intelligence. I still think people should be encouraged to develop bots for various maps to spice it up.

I've been playing the bot's, and the only skill they have is with the dice....

Seriously bad programming that has some sort of a dice patch to accommodate the lack of ability.
Play the bots, and in one game they will get a 10+ swing in troops every round with unbeatable dice.
Then, the next game, they will lose every roll.... and game will be over in 6~8 rounds.

Highlights the ability of CC to interfere with the dice, and that will not be good for recruiting new members, or retaining existing ones.
