So as a fremium I have played a few bot games against saxibot. It seems youHAVE to play the level 1 bots to count your games towards a bronze bot medal. Am I wrong about this . This is really dumb. Obviously beating saxi takes all the skills of wham bot or do the level refer to user stupidity?

Here's how the bot medal achievement is set up:

Bot Achievement
Awarded to members that defeat Bot opponents X times.
Bronze=200 Level 1 Bots, Silver=200 Bots from each of Levels 1 & 2, Gold=200 Bots from each of Level 1, 2 & 3, Platinum=200 Bots from each of Levels 1,2,3 & 4.

So for Bronze, yes, have to beat the terrible bot 200 times. For Silver you then beat the level 2 bot 200 times, and so on...

think of it as similar to cross mapping, except here you're "crossbotting"

ie. you have to play at least 600 bot games to get the gold medal...200 from each level

sometimes it is difficult to comprehend something when it is so counterintuitive, particularly when this site fails to award skill.
I see no reason to beat the bot any further. some medals arent worth it.

Nice betiko. I will take the bait and answer your rhetorical question as though it were a real question.

it would be best to ask the question of Team CC, of course, not me (I lost to the roboprick twice).
I simply reason that beating a level 3 bot compared to a level 1 one bot requires a greater amount of something (other than time). As this site is based around strategy I assume that something is a skill one might call strategic ability (perhaps the distinction between levels is only relevant to those aged under 10).

So, the current system is:

• Bronze: 200 wins vs whamBot
• Silver: Bronze + 200 wins vs SassboT
• Gold: Silver + 200 wins vs saxibot
• Platinum: Gold + 200 wins vs whatever level 4 bot is made

I think it would be better (and what seems to be suggested here) if it was like this:

• Bronze: 200 wins against any bot
• Silver: Bronze + an additional 200 wins against SassboT, saxibot, and/or level 4 bot
• Gold: Silver + an additional 200 wins against saxibot and/or level 4 bot
• Platinum: Gold + 200 wins against level 4 bot

my bot wins don't even show up in my medal stats, so i'm kind of over it... the black jesus has been let down by the bots...-el Jesus negro

Only your whambot wins are showing now, since you don't have your bronze yet. Once you get that, your spambot wins will show, until you get your silver. Once you get that, your saxibot wins will start to show up. For each level, it only shows you what you have towards the next level.
