Yes, that appears to be a major reason for the downtime.

blake informs us that the CC servers are located in the Central time zone, and recall that the DST change always happens at 2 AM local time. Actually, though, I think it still should happen at 2 AM CC time.

CC Time is Eastern Time, whereas CC servers are in Central Time... hence the time switch that will occur on our servers at 2AM their time will actually be at 3AM CC Time.

But this is not correct, because Eastern time also lost an hour, so when Central time switches over, it will still be 2 AM CC time. Their switch is an hour in absolute time after hours, but we lost an hour in local time just before that happens. During the hour before the Central time zone change, both Eastern and Central clocks read the same time.

Except that we calculate CCT by adding an hour to our CST/CDT ;).

Then, in that case, the time block for the downtime was still wrong. You had the downtime starting at 3 AM and going until 3:10 AM CCT. But when CDT -> CST, it becomes 01:00 Central Time, which means that it's 02:00 CC time. Which means that the block on game play happens at 02:40 CC Time, and the downtime happens 20 minutes later at 02:00 CC Time :-)
