Possible RT mode?

hey,

as an RT player... I get so frustrated with deadbeats (like im sure 99.999% of you also do)...Is there any way we could set up an RT mode game? Like instead of 24 hour turns....perhaps 10-15 minute turns. that way when a deadbeat comes along...we can just wait them out or eliminate them in 30 minutes or less...

I just cant take having 30+ unfinished RTs sitting in my log.

Just an idea...

This idea has already been given and is on the "to do" list. Check the suggestions forum.

Thanks frood. Like he said, Speed Games are on the to-do list in the sticky in Suggestion & Bug Reports forum.

not sure that would work in escalating games-- perhaps no cards or flat rate. for those of you who play escalating RTs know that during [kill] turns-- it can take upwards of 45 minutes...... i dont think the 10-15 minute turns would work here unless you add a one time hour extension after the 7th round or something to that effect. unless -you still get the hour but only 15 minutes after the previous player before you begin turn/ miss turn. im not sure i like that idea.....

True, but I'm sure it's possible to have two settings:

Time to start a turn: 10 min, 1 hour, 24 hours (standard) (or more options)
Time to finish a turn: 10 min, 30 min, 60 min (standard) (or more options)

If you are taking out a player, yes, it may take 1 hour (same limit we gave right now) to finish your turn; however, it's important to speed up the start of the turns. This is true for every game, not only RT

In the case of the rt with players you know, this may be irrelevant, because you have a standard in place already; however, for people who set up games using gabbly, this is important. Even more important for players who don't have premium. Although... why should we care about the non-premium?

i was thinking about the rt setting too. Like scott, i think that there should be a setting that a player can select to use extra time.
