Now that we have all had the chance to play a couple...

Which new map is best?

Good Topic Kugel.

Visually I'd have to say San Fran.

Best game play is Siege.

I don't really like any of them that much, but out of the 3 I think Siege is probably the best.

for some reason, i have been playing alot of siege...lol

8 thoughts is my favorite, I can't stand how siege or san fran look.

I haven't played it yet, it looks wierd, the continent bonuses being the same...

None of them are that great im my book but Seige seems to be the best.

8 thoughts is too balanced and Iv had only bad experiences on it so far.
San Fransisco is weird because the Conts have to many borders.
Seige just seems to be a mishmash that you are probably going to get a decent placement on.

I am starting to dislike siege, i nearly won everyone game, but SO MANY PEOPLE DEADBEAT ON IT! EVEN A CAPTIAN ! how disrespectful...(I am not flameing anything or one)

I'm a fan of San Francisco, but Siege is turning around for me after a few bad games to start.

I just started a game on Siege, so I can't say.

Playing a game on SF, I like it so far.

Finished a game on 8 thoughts, but only got to about round three before I was eliminated, so I still can't say anything on that one either.

I'm a bit baised on SF.

I live in SF so of course I'm going to like it.

But then again, my map came first. (His first post of it was in my thread.)

i think siege is an awesome triples and doubles map. its really enjoyable and they is such a range of tactics that can be used it makes for a very interesting game.

8 thoughts i find very confusing and tactically limited so i dont enjoy that one so much.

still to play the other map..........

I like Siege and SF...

Partially because I've won a load on SF - and most on Siege...

Then again I've won some 8thoughts too!!

Siege because I played and won and quite enjoyed the gameplay. Haven't played San Fran yet and I had terrible dice on 8 thoughts so that pissed me off.

I like Siege! the best, but I do not like the area naming scheme that was used, although I do not have a better suggestion. On the SF map, I think the downtown area gets too large of a bonus, if a player can hold it for just one round the game is usually all but won for them. I still have not tried 8 thoughts, but I not a big fan of the novelty maps (King of the Mountains is almost an exception).

I dig all three, but I think my favorite so far is Siege! Very complex, but makes for a fun, quick game. I like the intricacies of the bonuses on all three maps and the one-way paths on SF and siege add a nice wrinkle.

I gotta say San Francisco...love the layout and the set up...and the little description "NO ESCAPE FROM ALCATRAZ."

i think seige is better for its sheer genius and simplicity...

although i am curently playing on it and did have over half the board and then lost it all!!!

I say this is out of date or a new one should be made.

I can now say SF is the best. Probably because I got an awesome deployment with a neutral at my flank, but still...

ACtually I don't think I've won on any of the new maps. (I'm back down to sergeant.)
