Mods need better tools.

No wonder so many people get away with account sharing, and there are probably 3 accounts per player on this site. The mods don't have the right tools to check IP addresses among other things. The click here to find your local time for CC shutdown was shocking. Default setting was ayers rock, in a different state and time zone than the one I'm living in. My next options were then northern and western states..... I live in the south east of australia........

My point is that they had a link to click on for local time..... Their idea of local time and location for me. Would have been like suggesting to you, that you actually live in lapland.

You are aware that your local time is estimated on the timeanddate website, which is simply a service CC uses to provide time localization.

That local time thing only estimates where the signal is coming from. Mine said Limerick, Ireland. That's where your ISP is based. Given that I live 200 miles from Limerick... eh yeah. It's an independent tool. That's not how they determine if you're a multi or not. :P

Okay, I will admit that yes, PhBB moderator tools are pretty crap. But, there are add on tools available to make it better and I am sure that they have those installed for admins. The advantage to forum softwares like PhBB are that you can manipulate the styles to however you want them. Some of the softwares with better tools are pretty rigid code wise, meaning that you will have a hard time manipulating styles to how you want.

With certain softwares you can pretty much find anyone with a certain IP from the mod panel with one click and then all the IPs associate with those accounts and then with a level 2 search, anyone else who shares one or more of the IPs with any of those accounts. Okay, from post patterns you can tell who just shares a dynamic IP or whatever. Pretty cool, eh? It's a lot easier to spot a multi than you think.

Or an update that gives mods the ability to click "send in S.E.A.L. team 6" and immediately dispatch the multi offenders where they sit...

Rofl, like a virus that uploads to their computer as soon as they start a multi. "YOU HAVE BEEN SNIPED! GOODBYE!"

You have been eliminated as a multi scum stain on the internet. Return to your mother's texas basement to respawn.
