Anyone understand how the cards work (not just clicking the boxes until you get a "legal" set)?

A legal set is three cards of the same color, or alternatively three cards with one of each color.

The values of each set are different in flat rate:

4 for red
6 for green
8 for blue
10 for mixed (one of each color)

This information is in the Instructions link above as well.

Yes. You have a set if you have three cards of the same color or three cards of a different color (e.g one red one green and one blue). In flate rate, a set of 3 red cards is worth 4, 3 green is worth 6, 3 blue is worth 8 and a "mixed set" is worth 10.

I don't know why, but the thought of every single player in the site randomly ticking the boxes until they got a set made me smile

I had a vision of someone running out of time and losing 60 armies in an escalating game because of it
