Looks like previous progress doesn't count yet? And what the heck is a polymorphic map?

These medals haven't yet been fully released, we're just testing a few things in the background before then. You'll find out all the information in the announcement on Thursday.

Was the thursday bug due to the implementation of the new stuff, therefore... No anouncement on thursday?

I asked about that, betiko, and they said that it wasn't due to implementing the update. I guess the data corruption killed whatever update was planned.

Not directly in the loop but yeah, i believe the data corruption just took up a ton of the time. Not sure if it'll still be released late or just wait until next thursday.

Polymorphism (biology), including:
having multiple phenotypes within a population; the switch that determines which phenotype an individual displays can be genetic or environmental
includes Sexual dimorphism, differences in the physiology of a species based only on sex
Point mutations in the DNA
having multiple alleles of a gene within a population, usually expressing different phenotypes
genetic markers based on such allelic variations, including single nucleotide polymorphisms
Lipid polymorphism, the property of amphiphiles that gives rise to various aggregations of lipids
Nuclear dimorphism, when a cell's nuclear apparatus is composed of two structurally and functionally differentiated types of nuclei
Frond dimorphism, differing forms of fern fronds between the sterile and fertile fronds

Computing

Polymorphism (computer science), the ability (in programming) to present the same interface for differing underlying forms (data types).
Polymorphic code, self-modifying program code designed to defeat anti-virus programs or to defeat reverse engineers

Chemistry

Polymorphism (materials science), the ability of a solid material to exist in more than one form or crystal structure

there is no such thing as a polymorphic map.

This shouldn't have taken time away from the implementation at all, because the big data loss happened early on Friday morning and implementations are typically done on Thursday morning.

It was taken out. The graphic for it was 3 Joined standard medal triangles.

I'm assuming this is a glimpse into some of the recent suggestions about neutral gameplay, with decaying, increasing, and all that?

it says
Awarded to members that defeated X unique opponents by winning Polymorphic games

btw that's my emphasis. as i said previously, there is no such thing as a polymorphic map.

Polymorphic games will be where its 1v1, but its actually 2v2-4v4

In that I control red, green, blue and yellow and my opponent is pink, cyan, orange and silver.

Just a hunch....

That would make it a team game played without the individual bias each player independently has; to some degree.

Yup sure enuf. All the games being created are escalating sets. Many who have mastered the perfect team game strategy for escalating, involving taking out your teammates for cards; are about to have their ranks increase significantly. Many are flooding these things with one map and the same conditions.
