This looks incredible to me. Is it, or is this a normal occurance?

Wow, that game is like a muscle-bound flex-a-tron after a workout!

What happens with those build hobbies? Do you all keep going 'till you get bored, or does someone get annoyed at someone else and suddenly all hell breaks loose?

I'd love to see an auto-attack between two of those big suckers!!

we gonna go till cashins are worth 1000, and then i think well play properly from there, altho once youo get to that many armies, if you attack, you will most definately lose. so the one who stays out of the battles will win......leading to a stalemate.

Nope, more = better chances for the attacker.

I think the chance of winning a 1000 vs. 1000 is slightly better than winning a 100 vs. 100, just to name an example. The attacker has a slightly better chance of winning a "standard" throw with 3 vs. 2 dices, so the more throws the closer the real result should be to the expected result, which is that the attacker wins.

yes however you will inevitably lose a significant amount of armies, leaving you vulnerable to the third player who still has their 1000 armies. so it is a stand off.......

Well, but that kind of losing isn't determined by the dices, well, usually it isn't.

Hmm... yes, sort of. The way statistics works is that each throw must be seen individually. But, the more individual throws you have, the entire amount of throws tend to close in on the statistical values. But that is merely due to the way percentage works. With 1 throw, that throw amounts to 100%. With ten throws, each throw only amounts to 10% of the total, while 1000 throws gives each throw the weight of 0.1% of the total.

But, you may very well loose 1000 straight throws. The likelyhood to win a throw doesn't increase just because you throw the dice again and again. For each throw (3v.2), you have a 20-something % chance to loose both your attacking armies. Conceptually, it is annoying.

:wink: its fun to do it once. i mean pointlessly building. i have a few other games which seem to be just building but in which we are competing. however i still think its fun to do one long pointless build game :D

Keep in mind though, that those other games are all escalating, the one that T7 is talking about is flat rate, in which case, a game w/ that many armies is relatively rare.

But yea, either way, those escalating games have some pretty big numbers.
