question if something is allowed

I'm kind of new to this website and I enjoy playing risk a lot even though i'm a newb. I'm considering getting premium but before I do i need a question answered as it might cost me a premium account in future if i turn out to be breaking the rules. i checked the other forums and there was no mention of this sort of situation.

i want to play risk online with someone i know, and we will end up playing a lot of games together. i know about this 'no secret alliances' thing and to be honest, we just want to play together and have fun. so we won't do that obviously. i see a lot of threads in the other forum of people busted for being friends or knowing each other. is it fine that two people play together a lot or should i try to look for another site to play risk on?

if it helps, we would be accessing this site from separate locations in different states from each other.

I appreciate any responces!

There isn't a problem to the best of my knowledge. As long as it does not appear that you are helping each other in singles games. In doubles games of course you would be on the same team so you would be expected to help each other. My experience here has been that if you don't try to cheat in singles games then people don't usually accuse you. Just make every effort to play fair and not to help the person. I'm sure wicked or one of the mods will post in here and give your further advice, but I believe you won't have any problem.

You'll be fine, as long as you attack each other fairly, as you do the other players.

the site is filled with pros who will know if youre playing fairly or not..them you dont have to worry about...i play with so many aquaintences in here at this point, they are almost in every game...however I do sometimes find myself in the situation, where I have to make sure it looks fair, if I dont know the other person well enough...so you may want to think about some private games too...or team games...again...you in no way have to do it...but in private games, people know the situation, and it may give you more freedom...

either way, i highly recommend the game...its a great time, especially if youre a good, positive player...or not so good, but still positive...you know...like wicked

Something that may be done, if you are in a public non-team game, is just announce the friendship right at the start. That way everybody knows what's going on.

Not saying that you have to...its just something worth considering.

Have fun!!

Or you may be the kind of friends where you have to kill eachother before the other people in the game. that kind of friendship is fun.

It doesn't sound like you have much to worry about and I can't imagine a better site to play risk than this one.
