So when I play a random map does it give me kills towards Crossmap medal or just the random medal?

Yes on both medals, a random map counts as BOTH random and crossmap medal

but, yea, search is there to help. You were quite explicit in your querry so you should/could have found the anwser that way. Its not a commonly asked or known bit of trivia though, so i never mind if somone asks. Its not explicit in the rules section so conformation can never hurt.
