Ignore list

As I mentioned in the other thread, the community suggested ignore list is probably going to end. Most people didn't like it. I'm not all worried about making the world a better place and all that. I do however think that some players would appreciate it, and so I'm going to post some of the most irritating players from my list. I included there feedback, but nothing else. You can do your own research and do what you want with it, I'm just putting it up here because I know I don't usually look at everyones fb before joining a game.

actualize 8-8
alan831 3-9
army2442 6-8
benjij 13-24
fmystic 10-12
Gary30060 44-19
japan_jeff 79-18
simtom 36-50
STOOOKER 54-22 (major)
superstud1234 14-41
VanMar 5-9

There it is, I'm sure I will take a lot of shit for putting up a list, people will tell me that I'm trying to rull the world and all that bullshit. That's a bunch of crap, I'm just posting this so that people can have a convenient look at some of the worse players on here and ignore them if they want to.

probably inactive, a few of those on that list above are on my ignore list. japan_jeff i would definately recommend goin on. simply from my experience he isnt a very pleasent guy and i mean who wants to play a stroppy bastard? makes it not fun and the only reason i play is to have fun....... (and occasionally try to win)

GrazingCattle freaking deadbeated in my tournament, now I don't know if I should freaking redo the match he was in and make 20 people wait or just let it go and find a replacement for the next round.

Anyway I suggest adding GrazingCattle if you don't like playing with people who deadbeat games while they are obviously still around riding their high horse in the forums. He might come back, and then he might do it again. :x

I'm not really saying freaking, but just in case someone wanted to bust me for swearing, you can do a mental replacement if you like.

If such humility and a position of non-authority was supplied in the first incarnation, I'm certain there wouldn't have been such resistance.

Not that I have a single problem with your post whatsoever, but how does this posting in the forum accomplish more than a person simply examining the feedback you have already put in the effort to publish?

If the feedback system has left you voiceless in a particular important circumstance with a given player, please elaborate. Such a greater elaboration might prove valuable to others who travel the forums.

There are some flaws in the feedback system that make it less then optimally useful. For instance, I can't search players by number of bad feedback. Without other people directing me to them my only hope of noticing their feedback is when I'm trying to join a game, or after it is already too late and they are actively ruining my experience on the site.

I guess I could scout the entire Scoreboard manually, but I'm not that insane, nor do I have the time.

So in essence he hasn't done a lot by posting that, it is true, but he has saved me some trouble with a few people I wasn't aware of yet.

I disagree with japan_jeff a bit, I had some good experiences with japan_jeff, but he is a little rude sometimes.

Personally, I think that they network-oriented relationship of searching rather than depending on conventional qualitative querying is liberating in that you can dance from player to game to player to game ad infinitum. It's sort of a "seven degrees of separation" structure, which I find more entertaining and more fruitful to find the really interesting prose left by others.

True it isn't hardcore, business-user, query-friendly, but that may be perhaps by design.

GC is busy and said it. Go ahead and find a replacement.

As for the list..I am planning on reviving it soon. thinking about what to do to improve it. I have persmission from GC, so..

He may have said it in his topic, which I stopped reading when it seemed to me he'd lost his mind. But he could have said something in the game or pm'ed me.

And I'm definitely finding a replacement that isn't the issue, it's between remaking the match that he quite possibly ruined or just letting it be ruined and moving on.

army2442 6-8

Played a triples game with him. He deadbeated when he got down to one territory, and when he did play completely ignored my advice. Our team still won the game, but he just acted retarded. Good choice for your ignore list.

George,

I just thought of making the search a bit easier. You can copy paste into your original post, so that players can just click on the names

actualize
alan831
army2442
benjij
fmystic
Gary30060
japan_jeff
simtom (like if I really needed to add this one...)
STOOOKER
superstud1234
VanMar

Whoa whoa guys. I strongly beleive not EVERY of them should even end on the list.

They must be annoying enough in most of their games to be included in a lot of players' ignore list.

This isn't only about negative feedback, I am sure half of those are because they arent that good at risk.

I haven't got the time to check that, but tomorow I might do something about that list, and will probably check those. But I am sure most are OK players...bit anoying sometimes...BUT SOMETIMES is not enough.

I have 2 players on my ignore list

1) Blitzaholic - for being too damn good
2) Jork- for taking over the number spot ahead of me

I hate those bastards. Mainly because I suck and will never be as good as them.

mm1987mm was a good player, played in many of my rt's. I think he must have left the site permanently, or something happened. He was a major or colonel, when people like that drop that much, it's because they stop playing all together. Besides, you would have gotten nice points from him for free. If he was still around he would play all his games, he feed back was 69 positive and no negative. Must have been a good reason.
