HELP

Postby Dominicus01 on Fri May 11, 2007 9:18 am

Can anyone help me? i have installed Mozilla on my laptop today, and then installed greasemonkey. I have just come to try and run some scripts and i only get as far as the drop down menu saying something along the likes of 'this is a greasemonkey script, do you want to install?' i click install and nothing happens, the drop down menu just stays there! why is this? Help would be much appreciated...

Are you sure you're really not getting any sort of error? For instance, take a look at the line under the bar that shows which tabs you have open in Firefox. Does it say anything about something being blocked? I suspect either your browser or firewall is blocking the installation.

First, in Firefox's menu: Tools--> Options--> Content. Make sure enable java and javascript are checked. Temporarily uncheck block pop-up windows. Try again, if it works go back and recheck block pop-up windows.

If this doesn't work temporarily disable your security software. Install greasemonkey and the script and then re-enable your security software.

Good luck.
