Does the word n00b apply to CC?

Now, I realize that I'm new around here. I also realize that after my few games completed, I'm not a general yet. So, I guess I could be considered a n00b.
However, in one of my games on the Hong Kong map, one of the New Recruit players (after two others had deadbeated) decided to go on a lecture tour in the game chat - directed at me and telling me all the "great" strategy that he thought I should follow. My response to all of his help included calling him a n00b.
And his response to that?
"The "word" n00b should never be applied to Risk."
Do you agree?

No - but I believe that the word 'n00b' should rarely be used anywhere.

Noob is a pointless word. It is used is so many situations these days, that it is down to the point it has no meaning.
And why wouldn't noob never be apllied to risk? That's non-sense.
Anyway...We're on conquer club, NOT risk.

n00b really applies in terms of new to conquerclub. It is much more frequently used in the forums, when a new player makes an unintentional challenge for "n00b quote of the year". In games, the "question marks" are always an unknown danger. True, sometimes they have never played Risk before and really don't have a clue. However, you do come across some who are of colonel standard. For example, my first game on here was a really fun RT and I pushed the winner all the way. The guy was really surprised because I was a "?" but, like many others, I was already experienced in boardgame Risk. (That is not to say I am of colonel standard, lol).

The word Noob when used properly can intimidate an opponent and allow you to flex your E-peen a little.
But it must be backed up by actual knowledge or skill that is superior.

Noob, newb, or newby. Used to describe somebody new to a game. Often used as a derogatory term.

I only call people a noob on CC when they are actually new. I don't mean it to be derogatory, just a description of the fact that they are new.

Or newbie. The last two are less derogatory and simply mean one lacking experience.
Besides that, have you ever met maxisgr8? Got his score down to 250 without deadbeating at one point. He's still recovering form that. At least I think...
