Stalingrad was done by our very own cairnswk.

The map maker that has made the most maps for us to play and also one of the most complicated map makers ever. My guess would be all three. He is some kind of map making psycho.

are mapmakers paid for their maps? maybe not if you made 1or 2, but it would make sense to have royalties... Do you keep the rights of your maps, and can decide to remove them?

Nowadays they recive some months of premium for every map, but they used to get nothing at all. You do not keep the rights to your map, and you can not decide to remove them.

Gillipig you are so very nearly completely wrong.

Yes, we get paid in premium but now it is in credits for every map. Same thing really but now we have the hassle of having to upgrade our credits to premium. No to royalties as that implies that every time someone plays it, we get a credits. As for the rights, yes, the map belongs to us, not the site in any way. But the agreement we have with the site is that the site can use the map for as long as it wants. As for removing them, this has never been done. Only one person wanted it done (DIM) but we still have them.

So I was barely wrong at all with other words lol. "Very nearly completely wrong" is quite different from "a little wrong".

you got one thing right, well in fact you did not even get that right. We can decide to remove them, but I very much doubt the site would be willing. So yes, completely wrong.

Which is legally not justified. DiM could sue you for this. In fact map makers are treated like shit on this website. I heared DiM was even banned for sticking his head out too much, even while he provided CC with a lot of maps as well. Probably way up there in the top 5 of map makers.

You got to say, lackattack was really smart. he managed to get this whole army of people making all the content users pay to get an access to. He just created this platform, which is basically a slightly modified Hasbro's Risk using a loophole.
All this army of mods/mapmakers ect give countless time an expertise for a very generous medal and/or a few month of premium which doesn't cost shit. Kind of like voluntary slavery, I like it.
