What happened to the user "ahava" whos post still appears in the tournament the user was co-running, but when you click on the username it takes you to a page that says the user no longer exists?

That is very strange... Users are not supposed to be deleted

I actually got a reasonably clear answer in a bit of an unusual way, I was trying to add ahava to tournament games he/she had signed up for, and it stated in red text "User has been banned".
In my opinion the reason a user is guested or kicked out of games should be stated somehwere, but that's a discussion for another day I suppose...

i believe it is the policy of cc to keep user information private. Therefor if someone is banned, normally (unless reported in C&A) this information is not shared. Only the user(s) in question gets a pm with the reason and a way to appeal.
A complete log of all bans is kept accesable by/to only a few moderators.
