You can't delete an invite. You have to wait untill it expires (after 24 hours).

basicly, if you turn down an invite, you got to say no. the spot fall open immediatly. this is a problem in non pw games since then someone else can join that spot, e.g. on your team
if someone does not say no, it stays open for 24 hours after which the spot will turn open, see previous
