The person starting a game is always first.
Is there a way to start a game and choose another position slot?

a person starting a game is never always first.
After someone is the last to join, only then in the first active player chosen.
However, you color depends on when you join, and so no you cannot chose another slot just by joining(first)
If someone invites you to a game, they could give you anther slot(by specificly inviting you for that slot), i think you have to be premium for that.

Would be nice to be able to pick your color. I don't like being red so I avoid starting games because of that. If I could choose to be green or blue I'd start more games. lol
