If you are going to lose an assassin game, would you prefer to lose by being eliminated or by someone else killing their target?

I find that when I'm playing assassin, I'm more concerned with not being killed than with preventing others from eliminating their targets.

Nobody wants to be the one who is killed, its much better to be the other 6/8 players going 'awe shucks' at the end of an assassin game.

no no no, the most honorable way to lose in assassin is to kill yourself by nuking your last territories.

I don't play much Assassin, but I'd tend to agree I think.

I've played quite a few assassin games and I agree with this.

However, I'm in an assassin tournament at the moment where you get eliminated from the tournament if you were assassinated. In a situation like that, if I'm close to dying, I may be inclined to help out someone else so that I can advance.

I disagree, you make sure that 6 out of 7 other players don't get killed, and 6 players will watch out for you.
