Printint out maps?

Many apologies if this is inappropriate but has anyone ever tried printing out some of the maps from CC and playing them on the tabletop at home? If this has already been discussed, what was the consensus? Would the creators of the maps/owners of the site care if we printed them out for personal use?

Love this site by the way. I'm a total noob but after getting involved with a few games I'm hooked!

Thanks,
Chris

We're looking into something like this for the CC store. Keep your eyes peeled.

wouldn't each map need to be re-created larger so it doesn't look pixelated at a larger size?
and would it be allowed to simply print out the maps via copy and paste/ screenshot?

I don't see how we could possibly enforce that if we didn't want you to.... I'd ask for the map-makers permission first, just as a courtesy, and if he says yes then go for it.

i don't plan on doing it because i have no1 outside of CC to play risk with

and even if i did then i would of course ask the mapmaker as a courtesy but also a cartographer and on the forum as well just to make sure. just curious but who are the maps property of? the site? the maker? i would have said the maker but does CC get any rights for them etc? anyway thats a fairly pointless question as i don't exactly see any1 suing each other over the maps but u never know... some of em r really gd maps!

Thanks for the responses, I'm stoked that CC is thinking about this. We play a lot of board games and have recently been playing a lot of RISK so it would be a blast to expose some of my less computer-savvy friends to the awesome maps on this site.

I'll make sure to get the mapmaker's permission as a courtesy and let everyone know how our board turns out!

Thanks,
Chris
