A list of territory bonuses

Hi there,
I've started playing 1 vs 1 randoms, and my points have dropped drastically. I'm perfectly fine with that (I'll be back and all that), but as I've been quite conservative when it comes to choosing maps, I know very few of the maps I now play. So...
Is there a way to how many territories you need to get bonus? Far from all maps has that in writing.
Thanks in advance,
Dalixam

You get +1 for every 3 territories on MOST maps but not all maps.
So for example:
12 regions = 4 troops
15 regions = 5 troops.
18 regions = 6 troops
etc. etc.
Most maps you don't drop less than 3 troops (1-11 regions). But not all**
Also most maps have other bonuses that are described in the legends. The bonus structures are always described on the maps for special circumstances.

This is also a good reason why one should learn one map at a time rather than just play a lot of different maps. When you become good at one map it makes the next one easier to learn as well.

How does that make sense? I'm fairly good at some 10-12 maps, where I know even the settings not stated, but that doesn't help me if I want to learn a new map. I still need to know possible starting locations, terr. bonus and so on.

BOB helps if you have it:
http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=161049Go to View Options and change Text Map to standard. It shows you a list of all the bonuses and the territories you need to own to have them. The stats menu is also better than the site one.

I see all the special bonuses there, but nothing about territory-bonuses.

Territory bonuses on all maps are usually 1 for every 3 as I said. When maps have it where it is different it is described on the map somewhere. (First nations of americas for example is one, which I believe is 1 for every 4 regions)
Hive where it is 1 for every 3 regions up to 36 regions then nothing above it.
Conquerman also has a different bonus for your territory count.
There are others as well. They are all described on the maps when they are special though.
Some maps don't have a territory bonus at all. Conquer rome for example.

Thanks

So it's a rule that if it's not 1 for 3 it has to be written on the map?

Yes. If it is not the default of 1 for 3, it's written on the map, like on King's Court, where there is no territory bonus or Eurasia where is is 1 for 4 or Conquer Man, where the territory bonuses change depending on how many territories you have. If it's not 1 for 3, it will be listed.

Perfect - that should make it all a little easier to grasp

Cheers!

Also the 1 for 3 rule is a minimum of 3 deploy troops always usually...when u get to 12 regions u get four.
So 1-11 regions is 3 deploy
12-14 regions is 4 deploy
15-17 regions is 5 deploy
18-20 regions is 6 deploy
21-23 regions is 7 deploy
etc etc

if it's not stated, it's a standard rule of risk. you can find the standard rules in the site rules.
also, the starting locations are usually all the locations, except neutrals. (which is usually nearly all the locations anyway, unless some are ridiculously overpowered to start with.) you could try to look at the map forums.

Yea, as you say, usually... Route 66 is different, and I'm sure many others are too...
