Yes, you can click on Scoreboard, at the top bar next to Instructions and Tournaments. Then, there is a field titled "Country Filter". Select Australia, and click Search.

Also note the "nationality" given is the country where they logged in from last time, and doesn't have to be their nationality or place they live.

Correct indeed, since we do from time to time have users asking how to change their flag when it doesn't match their nationality. It's not perfect, but it can give you at least some direction regarding the users you are looking to find!

Search for players from Australia and ask them if they are from Melbourne...

You can make a usergroup for anything that you want, but you have to get at least 10 people for it to be a usergroup.

I would have thought the whole thing would have been a lot easier to find users if that nationaly field had been included in the find members search facility.

http://www.conquerclub.com/public.php?mode=scoreboardBut there is.
it asks for username, country and sort order.
or do you mean under the heading game finder? But that looks primerely for gametypes. Country is not really a gametype. Also the IP adresses do not really mean you are from that country. it gives an indication, but it is not an absolute...
