Questions about the Implementation of Suggestions

How does it work? How does the CC elite decide on which suggestions should be implemented?

Granted, time is finite, and so our resources, so in order to entice the developers to implement a suggestion, why not have the CC members offer them money for completing the suggestion (after it's given the go-ahead by the Board)?

I think lack looks in the entire suggestions forum, chooses one at random, regardless of how much/little public support it's gotten, and then goes ahead and codes it.

I think they should get rid of the suggestions forum. Regardless of how much time lack puts into this site, it pretty much serves as nothing more than a false hope factory. You see a great suggestion, post your support, it gets moved into "submitted suggestions", and then you see it rot there for several years.

Then you have suggestions like nuclear spoils or "skip a game" that had very small support get implemented and you're all like "da f*ck, man?"

Mr_Adams created a "Increase to 12 players" suggestion in 2007. Five god damned years ago. I don't know much about coding, but it doesn't seem to be that big of a problem considering lack has increased the players previously. Why he seems to be ignoring it, I don't know. It just serves as false hope.

this is correct, from all sugestion lack implement Conquer Cup very fast( if someone can help to find this sugestion in sugestion forum), and all other sugestion standing for half decade and dont get implmented.
I realy dont know what its motiv to implement Conquer Cup, and its all ready have 3 tournament of this.
Also i dont belive that this sugestion are chose randomly.
Many sugestion look easy to implement, but still nothing. From other side number of member decrease. He realy need to start implement more and more sugestions.

This graph may be a little difficult to understand, but it portrays some very complicated information.

Notice the general exponential trend of the graph since the beginning of time/CC.

That is awesome..some true figures for a change. The graph should be highlighted and set in stone.

Can I get any experts to comment in here?

ManB's graph is very informative, but since it's missing that bit of data (presumed lost), we need some hard-hitting information here.

Has anyone thought to create a suggestions thread that suggests implementing suggestions?

Someone needs to create a thread suggesting it first

You mean to suggest a thread suggesting the creation of a thread that suggests the implementation of suggestions?

Not just one thread. You need about new 3 threads a week, so that the suggestions can be merged together. Once everybody who has posted in the "[Official] All Suggestions About Implementing Suggestions Thread" has stopped making suggestions can the "[Official] Callout for Implementing Suggestions Feedback Thread" be posted.

Wait, so... no one knows how suggestions are chosen and then implemented?

It's just a black box where 99% of suggestions are deflected, 0.09% are absorbed but lost, and the final 0.01% are implemented?

Actually, your numbers are way off. About 96% of total threads in the Suggestions forum are in the Rejected pile, yes. However, probably about 70% of those are duplicates of earliear suggestions, and another 20% or so are just spurious suggestions, parodies, and bitch threads.

Of the suggestions that are both unique and serious, only about 75% are rejected. That might still seem high, but it really isn't when think about it seriously. How much change can a small company implement when it basically only has one core programmer?

Your suggestions about managing popular suggested ideas has been noted and will be placed at the top of the circular suggestions file...
