Is it red?

So I set up a bunch of games, escalating mostly. I'm normally better than average at these games, but now for some reason in most games I was target of random noobing.
My question is, do other players, specially low ranked players target the red player more, some sort of the color getting more attention or associating red with high ranks?
Do you get more noobed when you are red? Or was it all a coincidence?

The way I understand it, you're more likely to get stolen or stopped by a cop as red.

I've always wondered this, truthfully. But less than any specific colour, I've wondered if a player is simply targeted to win or lose because his or her relative rank in the game. I know there is a big difference in terminator games. I've deliberately left myself to cower and die in front of a high ranked player so that he/she could take fewer points from me than the alternative. I've had players throw the game to me too, citing that they'll lose less points if I win (I was ranked higher). I wonder if this happens some times unspoken. How often?

I'd say it probably does indeed happen with an unspoken understanding, since a number of players play with a sort of cost-benefit mindset, seeing any one game as battle in a longer war in regards to their score.

I've started a LOT of standard games during my time in CC (Started = Red: for those reading before morning coffee), and I've never noticed this. I'd say it's more about HOW you play, Especially in flatrate games. if you don't get mixed up in the bonus struggle early game you almost always survive. If you play in a certin way you'll get targeted again and again.
As others have suggested in the thread, I'd say rank is a much bigger bullseye than color... but rank can work both ways, some will be scared, some will target you, many won't care.

I generally agree with this assessment.

I've noticed a big difference in how poor players treat you when you make the jump from captain to major. All of a sudden you get a lot more "unwanted attention". The same is true for when you level up to colonel. Actually it resembles fear more than unwanted attention.
