I have gotten bitched at on a whole bunch of my games because it was manual deploy, and trench. They would deploy everything on one spot while I spread my men out, and proceeded to decimate them because their men were trapped, and somehow this is MY fault because they just didn't notice it was trench when they clicked join game. Also I keep getting bitched at, cause I am dominating a game on trench setting, but since I can't just advance across the board, the game continues for several more rounds, and somehow again this is my fault?? Is anyone else getting bitched at for this or is it just me?

It's your fault, you've been farming.

I've explained this before with mathematical proof.

THat's why I'm not upgrading until there's an option to completely ignore Trench, and I'm talking about a configurable one, from control panel, not "go to game finder and bookmarkit and you have to send the data again and blah blah"

How am I farming? That would imply I made trench games on purpose to take advantage of the less educated. I made trench games to get my medal. I am just as new as anyone else when it comes to trench warfare, and am not in a position to "farm" for points using that setting. What do you want me to do, send a message to every single person on the site that I made some two person games, but to be careful when deploying because they are all trench? It is NOT my fault if someone joins my games without reading or understanding the settings. Join at your own risk.

Interesting thing is that in my experience, almost all games I've played I've just dumped my manual troops in a single but (I like to think) well educated guess (fog) where it'll do the most damage. I've done well enough to get my medal and not a peep of complaint from anyone. I've also never played against anyone who spread their troops like you (Jamie)! Frankly I find your style interesting ... but I notice you've only scored around 50% My view is that the people you've played are also strong enough to know better and you are rated much the same as me so I really can't say you are in any way farming. Enjoy it is all I can say!!

And no, this can't be considered farming.. For it to be farming, he would have to at least win %10 of the games with the setting......

I also deploy in one spot on manual games, but if you do that in a trench game, and the other person spreads their men out, you just lost before the game even started. Any other setting deploying in one spot won't kill you. In Trench if you deploy in one spot, and they spread out, they will decimate just about every territory you have on the board leaving you with your one huge army and maybe one or two other spots. You can attack one or two spots with your army before having to quit, and then their bonus is so big that they take huge chunks out of your big army til the game is hopelessly out of hand

yes it's your fault.. you should have never set trench games!

I am not a fan of trench games myself. After I get my gold medal, I will never play them again. The same for Random, Freestyle and Fog settings.

10% huh? I have won 42 of 88 Trench games finished, which includes all games with 2 or more players. That is a 48% winning pct.

They aren't fun settings to play. In trench games if a person gets a big bonus, more often then not, they are impossible to break, and the game is over, and it can take 20-30 more rounds for them to finish you off. They need a forfeit button for trench games. Random sucks because there are alot of maps that are confusing even with BOB and are no fun to play on. Some even hurt my eyes. Freestyle is fine, if you never sleep and spend 24hrs a day on CC. They have that rigged where people can get two turns in before you get a turn. Lost many a freestyle game cause of that. They can even play the same time you are playing which is BS. Once a guy logged in at the last second and took out the last man of an opponent I was trying to eliminate and stole his spoils worth 30 men from me. I had taken nearly 20 territories and lost a crapload of men getting as far as I did. Needless to say, I left him horrible feedback and foed him. Fog settings are just a huge frustrating mess when you run into someones 40 man army with your 10 man army. I would much rather see what my oppoenent us doing or trying to do so I can adjust my strategy accordingly

No, farming would be at least a 70% winning pct, if not 75. Farming is when you are so skilled or knowledgeable on a certain setting, or know exactly how to manipulate the system, that you set up games on purpose to take advantage of the far less skilled or knowledgeable. I set up trench games which I HATE, so I can get my trench medal. Point farmers usually team up with other point farmers in team games on the freestyle setting. When joining games I don't join team games when one team is full of high ranked players, especially if any of them are known point farmers. Winning half your games on any particular setting doesn't make you a point farmer. You are not very good at farming if you win as many as you lose. That won't get you points. I'm not going for points right now, just medals. Which is why my points have plummeted from the mid 2000's down into the low to mid 1000's
