RT games

Postby Lance Thrust on Fri Apr 13, 2007 1:20 pm

I'm new here, so I hope this question isn't stupid. But I recently stumbled into a game the other night and noticed that as soon as I joined, everyone immediately started moving. Not realizing it was real time before I joined, I felt bad when I was called away after a few mins and could not continue for an hour or so.

So, my question is: How can you tell if a game is real time before you join?

umm...as of right now, there isn't a "label" for RT games...usually, if you want to join one, you check call outs, and they announce it in the game chat...but if you didn't know, you didn't know...just tell them that, and that you'll do your best...

I think its the game starters responsibility to make it a private game. You shouldn't have felt bad if it was an open game.

Absolutely correct. Not your fault at all. It should have been set up as a private game, and if that was not possible, they should have dropped out when they say someone outside of their agreement joined the game.

Maybe in the future such games can be labeled, but until that happens it's the responsibility of the rt game people to take steps to make sure this kind of thing doesn't happen.

I joined a game once and the other players were upset that I didn't want to play rt. They said they had discussed it in live chat. I'm sure they did but not with me they (since I don't go into live chat). It was most annoying and it was their fault not mine.

Don't feel bad. RT games are supposed to be made private. If you joined a public game not knowing it was RT the other players have no right to be upset with you, it's their fault.
