Is this legit?

Just began a free one month netflix trial and they've paid CC $25 (I have the added year!) when after trying it I now intend to cancel. Is there a catch?

According to Trial Pay's Terms and Conditions (which you probably agreed to at some time during your process):

e. You may not sign up for an advertiser offer with the intent to immediately cancel or return the item or service from the advertiser. A "quick cancellation" is considered to be fraudulent, and may void your order. TrialPay may, at its discretion, suspend or revoke your right to use the TrialPay service if you are found to have engaged in such activity.

I've no intention of cancelling immediately, I'll use the service to watch '24' over the next three or so days and then I will consider cancelling. The offer itself said that I must not cancel within three days and I will not do so. If I like it i'll keep with it, I didn't intend to cancel anyway until after I completed the offer and only then realised that they only have the first four seasons of 24 when I'd like to view all 8. I'll make a more informed decision once I've looked at shows such as Dexter and whether they have their full seasons too. Whats the point if they don't have the full runs, defeats the whole objective of the site.

I'm just wary of things that seem too good to be true, and them paying $25 in the mere hope of taking £5.99 a month subscription (after trial period) seems to be too good to be true which also is making me consider cancelling, don't want to be hit by hidden charges.

There will not be any hidden charges - I think the company that puts the offers up will pay trial pay some money as it will bring in potential business for them.. At least that's how i can imagine it would work.
