Conquer Club - Support and Business Development

Postby Gen.LeeGettinhed on Wed Feb 29, 2012 1:07 pm

Good hearted CC players - come show your support for a better CC:

Basis:
A) A relatively FEW players are SAYING they are boycotting the site refusing to buy premium etc.
B) I think there are MORE players willing to invite/encourage more people/friends to this site

Concerns:
A) Some will SAY just to bluff; a few might actually. How many people have we seen SAY they are leaving, just to return later?
B) However the hugely vocal minority of Negative people prevent good players from inviting people.

Keeping on topic:
-I am only looking for POSITIVE input, negative people can create another thread or troll elsewhere.
-Hopefully Global mods will step in quickly and deal with flamers/baiters/trollers promptly.

CC is great! I like it for the community, I'm horribly terrible at risk and don't play many games. BUt it's fun spending time with internet friends

1) I routinely convince opponents and people I chat with to buy premium*
2) I think MORE people would invite friends/etc. IF CC were a lot less negative (baiting/flaming/trolling)
3) I'd be willing to start a thread about minority ownership shares -- but there'd have to be more control of excessively negative people

Shakes head disapprovingly at GLG. You sir, had no ambition to make this thread until Eddie made his thread. You are like the little brother that hides behind the bigger brother and thumbs his nose at the world, knowing he can't be touched or disciplined.

Negative, negativity, from (baiting/flaming/trolling) people with excess negativeness.

It appears, from your wildly excessive use of the word "negative", (and derivatives thereof), in virtually all of your posts, that people who don't agree with your, posts / treatment / method of achieving conk, are negatively negative. [Overly commared sentence I know, pls don't start grammer Nazi's.]

Is this a new word you are trying out, or do you actually believe that any post you don't agree with is.....well...negative.

Hoping for a positive response! 'Cos I'm with you on being positive about CC! [non sarcastic font]Got my new premium last month. Bargain at $25 for sure. [/non-sarcastic font]

But a serious question re premierships. Do you think your playing style + your alleged attempts to convince others, that you just slaughtered with difficult settings,(I'm including the effects on other members), has produced an overall positive increase in memberships or ...a negative one?

Would not - a seq game (explaining e.g. the map, the bombard feature, after you've won / inviting them to be your dubs partner for a couple of games / supplying them with an SOC link, be a far better way to encourage more membership and encourage positivity?

Looking forward to your response. I'm just asking questions and hope to not come across as negative. I, like you, think the demise of CC is extremely exaggerated.

well then i am gonna try this glg's way and in public because i have spoke with mods about this and nothing happened so here goes....

Posting controversial or irrelevant messages or topics with the intent to provoke someone else into a contest of over-manly confrontation, emotional response, flame fest or to generally disrupt the discussion, community or user is not cool. Prompting or provoking others (Baiting) to do that is just as bad.

this thread is a copy of one i made 30 mins before this one found here..
http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=165887
since glg does the ranching thing that a lot of players are against this thread is also made to try provoke them into flaming him. you will find another thread made by glg trying to get people to flame him here...
http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=444&t=165706&view=unread#unread

the name of this group has been made to provoke users of this site. this part of the rules also covers what he has done in the above 2 instances...
If your post's intent was to provoke another user into an emotional response, to get under their skin or to otherwise piss them off, you're baiting them. Hopefully the user doesn't take the bait, but you'll probably receive a disciplinary action from a mod.

or this one..
Posting "parody" forum topics that aren't meant for an actual discussion.

Necrobumping (bringing dead forum topics back to life) if no new meaningful content is being added.

was this thread.
http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=161548 had been unposted in for close to a month and brought back to life to bait myself..

now there are several members if making half of these posts would of been faced with a forum ban by now and there are other posts/threads that could be added to this but really i'm not gonna waste my time because this will just be ignored by moderators and he will be allowed to continue baiting other users into responses.

eddie2,

Flawed logic (again) sir:
-if I had listed on your thread, you'd complain of trolling/baiting
-people are continually told "if you disagree, fine -- but go create your own thread" -- so I did.
-it is NOT a joke, no more than the "old school new punishment" thread
-it's meant as a POSITIVE offset to what you propose, not a troll.

we straight now?

hey glg, how about running a tournament just for freemiums and offering a premium prize.

CC will then match it and you can give that out in 4 blocks of 3 months, 2 of 6 or as a 12 month block. either to others in that tournament or subsequent tournaments.

it could be your 30th tournament as that is the last one you'll get a medal for hosting. hit the max with a bang.

membership numbers are down, rumor has it lack is preoccupied with other things in life, the forums are garbage now and many of the jr. mints don't even understand or know the basic rules, the rules are a joke as evidenced by what i and many others consider a multi/cheater skirting the rules atop the leader board, etc, etc, etc... i love CC and i have never purchased premium. it has always been gifted to me, even when i declared i would never spend another cent here. it is sad to see what this site is becoming and it is even sadder that we have a scoreboard full of cheats, farmers, ranchers, etc... -el Jesus negro

p.s.-you consider "negative" to be anything that is in opposition to what you say.

A great former conq dons his rank with the same silver clad shade that i have been sporting,
which makes me wonder what the number of Premium members are now, vs where it once was...
