A new victim

As an obvious CC addict, I suffer the pains of many players in here...my significant other cdmilliner thinks the 15 minutes I spend with her a day is too little and that I play this game too much....

but light has been shed, and like all that have tried to resist..an addict is born....

through great pain, and embarrassment...cdmilliner confided to me tonight, against her better judgement im sure...that she missed Conquer Club...... It of course was inspired by the adreniline rush she must have gotten when she brought us from the brink of death by killing me...cashing once...killing one of the other teammates....cashing twice, and obliterating the other teammate, both of whom had already long since put the game in their win pile...

this is a human interest story...that isnt very interesting...about how cc becomes addictive and relates to relationships which is why I posted it in general discussion... :D

LOL...my GF has been getting slowly drawn into CC and I even have her playing a couple of games right now (she's losing horribly btw)...I have suggested to her to get her own account, and I suspect it won't be long until she does. She seems to like the forums and is really ammused by the chat room slander that goes on.....A win for me on this subject......finaly a winfor me in any subject...lol..............fight hard, take no prisoners , show no mercy and take over the world.,..

So now it will be you, fitz, who is standing at the door in a leopard robe.... trying to coax her away from the computer...

might I suggest when this situation occurs that you try to reach her using the forums and send multiple PM's.

Lol....no, she always uses her laptop...and Ive only made her move for her twice, but only because she wouldnt be back in time...we mostly play other couples and family teams...as was the example above....

And I know she wont really want to play...it was just funny hearing her say it...the lead in was such that I would have been less surprised if she said she was leaving me, for a general on CC.

and Robinette....that pic of me in the leapard suit was supposed to be a secret...geez....

"fitz, who is standing at the door in a leopard robe"

That is a something I did not need to visualize this early in the morning, hell at anytime during the day.

Okay guys...

Now I realize I don't post here often but you must all know Fitz by now... And you believe what he has to say?

No, no, no... it's all just a ploy so that he can help out all the other entangled guys and give them stories to share with their girlfriends and wives. All in effort to get a bit more game time without any nagging....

And as for the leopard robe... yeah, not a pretty picture!

Love you too sweetie....
~cd

(and okay I'll admit it... maybe I do miss playing every once in a while... I just don't want it used against me!)

Yes I am...i have to say that of course

But when she didnt take out peppe in that game we played, and we lost...I was unhappy...to have it right there killing someone in two games in a row on round 2 would have just been awesome..but she didnt see it, and alas you caught on and stopped us in game 3....sad days...I just cant beat you...simple as that...

I actually offered to take her out for dinner if she could pull of the kill...it was almost impossible...but I had a feeling she might do it, so I never made the offer...is that wrong?

I did order chinese, and would have opened a bottle of cliquot, but never got around to it

Might I recommend a bottle of Mumm Napa, Blanc de Noirs

The winemaker says this,
"This more robust quality makes Blanc de Noirs a wonderful wine with many kinds of cuisine, ranging from Thai to Italian"

Wine Spectator on Mumm Napa, Blanc de Noirs had this to say...
“Refreshing with pretty cherry, strawberry and rose petal aromas that extend to the palate, featuring ripe, creamy fruit flavors and a long, smooth finish.”

And only $18 a bottle, you should try it...

thanks for the tip, I will definitely try it. I have a couple of bottles of cliquot...i think im missing a letter there...I convinced the liquor store owner down the street to carry it, so I feel obliged to buy it when I drink champagne...but to be honest, I prefer chandon, even the cheaper california sparkly...And Dom is about the best Ive had, and I do wish I could aford it more often...it really is amazing....

One of my customers...former customers is the publisher of the Quarterly Wine Review(QRW)...I believe its the oldest wine magazine around(so Ive been told...cant back it up). Its pretty good, and highly respected. When I really need a great bottle, they've been able to help me out.

Which reminds me of a story....only Robinette is reading but thats fine....in the early days of courtship with miss CD...I needed a bottle of champagne...so I called my friend...he was on speakerphone and suggesting clicquot the one with the orange label....I was with a long time customer at the time and she heard the conversation...She commented that the person knew a lot about thier wines...

I told him who it was, and she happened to know them personally. She disappeared into house, and came out with a bottle of clicquot from her collection...which is extensive. CD and I enjoyed it...
