I'm quite new at cc. I'm new at playing Risk with people. I've played for a few years, but almost completely against bots. As a result, I don't really know how what behavior is generally considered
- annoying, but "normal"
vs
- cheap tactics, but expected, when you play against unknowns
vs
- unacceptable cheating.

I've only played in 7 games since joining. So far, I've run into 3 people who appeared to be purposely skipping turns, in order to get double reinforcements on a turn. Meanwhile the rest of us had to wait out the 24 hours, while the timer ran out on their skipped turn. Some were not able to be on line when the timer expired and the skipper was able to stack 2 turns of reinforcements into one turn. To me, it seems inconsiderate and poor sportsmanship at best. It certainly takes away some of the enjoyment of playing against people on line. (and yes, I have added people who have done this, to my foes list for the games that completed. I certainly don't want to be subjected to it again. But I'm still in a game with one of them, and suspect it might not be a good idea to put them on a foes list during a game - not sure if that would mess up the game even more.)

So is something like this a reportable offense? Or do I just add it to their rating with scores and tags, and put them on the foes list?

Question #2 is a bit more difficult. In two games I have run into situations that have led me to suspect either multi-accounts or secret deals. I have read that these are, indeed, unacceptable cheating. The form we see at the beginning says:

"Be sure before you accuse someone!"

I really have no way of knowing for sure, if it is true, or just a set circumstances that don't look quite right. I believe I'm a fairly ethical person. I would feel horrible falsely accusing innocent people in a public forum. I would not want it done to me, and don't want to do it to someone else. Is there a way to have something checked privately - that is without having to post the names and game numbers in this forum?

I'm torn because I don't believe in letting cheaters get away and rewarded for their misdeeds - but I also don't want to publicly accuse, possibly, innocent people.

Can anyone help me with this?

Putting someone on the foe list during a game is ok. You just won't be able to read what they write in the game chat. Go ahead and do it if you want to.

It's only reportable if they miss 3 turns in a row and get kicked out of the game. That's called deadbeating. Otherwise it's just gameplay. Perhaps a little underhanded, but not against the rules. And maybe not even on purpose.

There are certain people who check to make sure that people aren't multis. You could send them a private message, but they do not prefer that because it clogs up there inbox. It is preferred to post in public. It is not meant to be something that is bad, but if you see someone who you suspect, it is ok to report them. They may be upset, but that's ok.

just deadbeating is not reportable though they have to be doing it consistently and with intent to do it for anything to be done about it.

My advice is to avoid freestyle.

Nice post, lets start off with that.
You have 2 questions mostly concerning what your position is against fellow human players.
Someone said to stay clear of freestyle. This is acceptable advice, and pretty darn good, but then i feel freestyle is simply not my cup of tea. Its fast furious and you have to be really damm good to make it there, there are loopholes you can read about that can be exploited, as you have already noticed... sorry for that.
Some find it part of the fun, i just took it as a learning experience moved on, and when i really get the itch ill find a way to make it fun for me to, just not right now.

Multi's is a bad story. Unfortunately it happens, not a huge amount compared to the regular visitors but substantial enough to notice.This is to be reported in the Cheating and Abuse forum (as well as other forms of abuse). With regards to multi's do a search in the forum to see if they were accused before, and see if you can add anything to the case before you make your post. If they are not, well it can't hurt to have someone look. The abuse part is slightly touchier. CC is allowing a fair bit , but does not allow outright bigotry. Sometimes however it is more the ego of someone that has been hurt then something more serious. one of the reasons is that you can moderate yourself what you see, and in particular what you dont want to see. it is called the FOE button. if you dislike someone (for any reason, click their profile, and select the FOE button. They will NOT get a msg about it, nor will they be informed of the reason why.)This will block ALL gamechat and make forumposts disappear unless you open them.. a good way not to be bothered by certain people.
it is called the FAMO option, Foe and move on. Next to that is the ratings. It seems i am rambling since you already know about both, but its worth saying it anyways.
