Misclick - Joined wrong game

I'm new here.
It was late at night, and I wanted to look at the map. But I ended up joining the game. I'm the first person to join. The game has not started. There is a drop game button. I'd like to drop this game, but I'm worried that it will go on a record someplace, saying that I drop games. I believe in finishing games I start - so I don't want something like this to give a wrong impression. But I really do not want to play this game.
Help, please.

It is no problem dropping a game. There is no record of that. The option is there just for your situation, so you can drop a game when you accidently joined it.

Hi
I have a couple of times joined the wrong game being the last person to join.
How that happened is i looked at the peoples stats i would be playing with/against and then having decided to play went to the last persons games to join. Then accidentally picked a similar game, on both occasion with fog of war whereas the one i wanted was without.
It would be good if there was a way of canceling that asuming you realised and did it straight away?

no, because there are a lot of games where you could then look at the situation and think, nope..
no do overs, you are in it untill the end once the game starts

Hi
I apreciate that it would be open to abuse, however its unfair to have to play out a whole game that you wern't intending to play just because people cheat.
Perhaps an intermediate screen that reviews your game options selected and asks you to confirm that its what you wanted before seeing the map?

For the last open spot in a game you could add a confirmation option. So you have to click twice to join the game in stead of once. That way it will become highly unlikely someone gets into a game by accident.
If there are more open spots you can just leave it like it is, since you can drop the game again.
Or give all players a minute to confirm they are playing before letting the game start. During this minute the Drop Game option can stay active without players being able to see the map. If nobody drops the game in this minute the game starts.
This delay can also solve the problem in freestyle (speed) games where players have to click a few times to get to the game, and so everybody can start at the same time.
So in fact it will just put a delay in all games between the time the last player joins and the start of the game.

It's actually very fair because you clicked the link. Your fault.

its very hard to cheat if you are the last player to join. just because you make a mistake and another will want to capitalize on it, means simply you are the worse player.
There are no dicecheats, dropcheats or such things possible. it is possible to play maps and settings you do not understand well versus someone who does, and from a sportmanslike point of view that is hardly fair, still it is your mistake that will cost you, not any way of cheating
