Which new map is the best?

Personally, I'm not feeling Chinese Checkers.

There is no antarctica map. There is an arctic map...

Checkers gives me the same feel as the campus or cross and i dont feel much with the artic map but its ok i guess

Checkers is awful. Haven't played Mountains yet, but I can't see it being better than Arctic.

Checkers is okay, and Arctic is pretty fun, but man that king of the mountains....

I'm thinking about proposing a name change for KotM: 'The Noob Coddler"... maybe as part of a whole title/subtitle thing: "The Noob Coddler: why fight for a bonus when you can get one on your drop?"

(yes, I'm a touch bitter... yes, I'm in the process of losing over 100 points on that accursed map... tho I have 2 other games that look promising)

Yeah I didn't want to say anything because I already slammed checkers but Mountains sucks.

mountains are great for dubs games, a new aspect with the kings+ heli's. but i still voted for the arctic. checkers btw is shit, theres no 'surprise' aspects to it, because its impossible to block in it , all the triangles are worth the same and position in the map is useless because of the center spaces. it creates a very 2D game.

I like arctic, too, but frankly I'm sick of checkers.

they are all pretty good, checkers gets damn annoying after a while, same with mountain, so I would have to say arctic, damn fun map

I voted for Mountain, but I do really like the Artic map.


If I knew how to build a map, I would do a map on Antarctica, and then we could have a "Race to the South Pole".

2 British teams, one Shackleton, the other Scott. Amundsen would be Norwegian (I think thats right) and we would throw an American team in there and have a ball.

Even though Scott died on his way back after "losing" to Amundsen, and Shackleton never made it, the history of these 3 groups is amazing.

i am a fan of the arctic map. SUNTZU

I would rate them in this order:

1. King of the Mountains
2. Arctic
3. Chinese Checkers

Arctic map is pretty damned good.

Couldn't agree more - I'm stuck in a slow moving kings game and i haven't a clue what i'm doing.

Never played chequers but it looks daft.

Now arctic is awesome, tactics have to be just right to win and it is the only proper map.

In fact I like it so much i even thought about setting up some multis just so it would win.

Aw damn! I thought Antartica was some sort of new map I hadn't played yet so I voted mountains. Just realised it was meant to be arctic - too bad.

Worst map has got to be checkers it sucks, its boring, slow, no element of surprise, nothing to fight for as all triangles the same, and definately nowhere to hide when your looking thin on the ground

If by antarctic you actually mean arctic then that. KoM is good for novelty value, but Chinese checkers, although huge and looking great, is actually quite boring.
