I'm assuming that it's announcing a players position or something similar in a fog game that otherwise the rest of the players can't see?

2012-01-01 23:03:31 - ViperOverLord: I would say corsica is clearly a bonus border from what I see

if you get to start, you wait until the other/others see everything before your move, they should let you know when they are ready.

I rarely wait, only with players that I've played before and have proven to be gentlemen in victory as in defeat.

Fog is fog for a reason, if you want to see the board, play sunny!

In a 1v1 game, the player who joins 2nd should allow the player who joined first to see the map before they start their turn. Otherwise, people wait to accept their fog invites until their partner has, and it slows up tournaments greatly....

Nothing wrong with talking about where other players are. It introduces a delightful WW2-esque element of information diplomacy.

It's this

Clan games too. Without this, basically your team waits, co-ordinates, and hopes to go 1st. The other team don't get a fair look at the map before your 1st turn. On certain maps, with good dice, this is a big advantage. So it delays games starting.

Bullshit. If you choose to play fog of way then it's tough luck if you miss the board when the game starts.

If it's team, same thing.

Totally agree. Foe me now people, I never (intentionally) wait for anyone to see the turn first, and I rarely will take a snapshot before hand (only because I really don't care - look at my rank).
Having said that, I typically don't take my first turn for at least 12 hours after joining a game, even if I go first. It is typical for me to only take turns due within the next 12 hours, unless I have a party to attend later. Meaning, people playing me usually get the benefit of a snap anyway (should they choose to take advantage).

Game chat should be banned in non team game fog. As someone already stated if you want to know where everyone is play sunny, If I am in a game of fog and someone starts giving my info away It's over, most likely I will suicide on you. And if you are in a game with me foggy, dont tell me where someone is thats not the reason I joined. I will foe you for it.

It's part of the game. And just because someone writes it, doesn't make it true. ;)
