ok, so i see all the people with the animated avatars, and i want one, i have one but it wont let me put it as my avatar, it fits in the restrictions (size) but it wont let me change.

What does it say when you say it doesn't let you change?
Assuming the image is truly animated AND fits the size restrictions (if either the length of width is greater than 100 pixels, it'll just ignore the animation and show the image as a still) then it should go through.

They gotta be under 100x100 to put em up homes
and make sures when you save it on your comp that it is saved as a gif pic

If it's a image from the interwebs, you don't need to save it to your computer. When you bring up the window "browse" as you're changing your avatar, you can just post the URL of the image into the filename bar. It takes a few seconds to load but it's faster than saving the file and opening it in the browse window.
