How does this happen? foe/Ageofrealms:might related

Postby Ltrain on Tue Nov 22, 2011 12:25 am

Tried to join a speed with Crownprop found I was foe'd. Started the same game separately (Age of realms: might). He joined.
I have no beef with him he probably foed me for being low rank a while ago I don't know.

He was able to join my game however, and beat me in one move, even though I hadn't broken my dock, and he ended up with 24 troops to spare after one round.

This just doesn't sit well with me so I thought I would say something. I have the screen shot but that's probably not necessary. game #10131097

As for how he was able to join your game, your Foe list does not prevent you from joining games with players on it. It only stops them from joining your games. It does not even give you any warning that you are joining a game with a player on your Foe list.
As for how he beat you so quickly, I don't really know enough about the map to really provide much insight there, but it looks like he simply knew what he was doing and got some pretty lucky dice.

i know the map. it was an incredible lucky strike in the dark.
there are 6 caslte's, 2 he owns, so if he targets 1 of those, there is a 2/4 chance he picks one of yours.
Since he had great dice in turn one, he went for the big paycheck, that happened to be your castle. the strategy was solid, but the dice are highly unusual. But if you got dice like that, i would always go for aoria too.. you happening to be there made it easy for him.
ofcourse had he failed, he could have lost the entire war.
then you had 1 castle left and 3 choices. 1/3 th and he kicked the one island he could get off from very easily. again a logical choice, and by then he had so many troops to his name that the win was guaranteed.
Also, note, he started, so it was his turn 2. and taking the castle and owning 2 towns gives 3 castles times 2 towns= many.
but in the course of the entire game he only lost 4 troops. that is truly amazing!

if you want this looked over by a hunter, then report it in the right spot. There is however no known dicehack, so he really got that lucky

Interesting. I thought if I foe someone, he can't join my game in I can't join his either. Put someone in the foe-list means you don't want to deal with that person. It won't be fun to be unexpectedly in a game with your foe

Hm... have to look at my foe-list before join a game next time. Ty for the info

what spiesr said is true.
a foe list only prevents them from playing you, not you from playing them. the request to change this to at least a warning has been a standing suggestion for some time
