Hi all,
A bit curious about this a player with a 120 games has a rating of N/A and does not show any ratings given or recieved. Is it because they are banned from giving ratings? Just seemed a bit wierd to me.

Ratings take a little bit to show up. So, if he just joined and has finished 120 games quickly, then it is possible that none of the ratings have come through yet.

The player has games going back to 2007. So still not sure what is going on.

Well, the current rating system wasn't in place that long ago. So, there may be no ratings because all of the games played were played before the current rating system. It would be a lot easier to answer your question if you'd tell us the player.

Just saw a similiar player draicles and thought of this post. Chap's explanation is 100% spot on for him. Really it is much easier if you give the name.

this happened to me
i had been active during the old feedback system and happened to move and not have access to a computer. I was gone for around 18 months i think
when i came back and started playing games that was won of the first questions asked of me why a n/a ratings when you have 500 games played

The player in question now has a rating. The explanation given is correct. I see no need to name the player now, Thanks for all of the good advice.
