Those Hardy Finns

Game # 292111

Finland is occupied by 3 neutral armies.

Round Three: I attack Finland with 5 armies from Sweden, and loose all but one without inflicting a single casualty.

Round Four: I attack Finland with 6 armies from Norway, and loose all but two without inflicting a single casualty.

Round Five: I attack Finland with 8 armies from Norway, and loose all but one before finally taking it.

I lost nineteen+ armies trying to take Finland from three neutral armies.

This is not the first time I've had trouble with the dice taking Finlanlnd....

....and when I own Finland, I've noticed several times that a handful of my troops in Finland have wiped out entire invasion forces several times their size and remained (largely) unscathed.

Interestingly enough, this jibes with some historicale research I've done about Finland's military history -- just look at Finland's "Winter War", and the fact that they fought both against the Nazis AND the Soviets (successfully) in WWII.

Kinda makes me proud to have Finn(/Swede) blood....
