cheating?

I was recently playing in a freestyle game when an opponent said i was cheating because I would start my turn first and end my turn last. They saw it as me waiting for them to finish their turns before I finished my turn. It only happened once or twice, it's not like I was doing it every turn, and I wasn't doing it intentionally, I was just taking my time fortifying. Is that cheating? On the one hand, I'm not breaking any rules. On the other hand, I can see where my opponents were coming from and I don't want to look like a cheater.

You are not cheating.
Indeed, you're playing a smart freestyle game. Freestyle is a sneaky setting.
Your opponents are a bunch of whining idiots. Don't listen to them.

i once played a game against 2 people who teamed up on me. they became allies in a 3 player game beyond the reasonable point so i just made sure i ended my turn last (it was RT) and as a result i always got my cont bonuses and therefor won.
i don't like freestyle because of this type of play but some people like it

yeah same situation for me. I'm in a 3 player game and they are both ganging up on me and accusing me of cheating.

masta .. we don't "team" up .. as you can see in our game ,. you're the one who has half the world .. of course we attack you and not each other (that will be suicide!) ..
and i still think it's cheating .. you're telling them that you are fortifining .. but if you do 5 min nothing .. and then when we end our turns .. you start with it ..

dont stress it boss..
read the rules and keep your word.
cant always take what these whinning little bitches accuse u of seriously.
lots crying pussys out there these days.
they should spend more time learning how to play and less crying about other people.

It does not matter whether he is fortifying or waiting for you to finish your turn. It’s not cheating damn it. It’s freestyle. Don’t play freestyle if you don’t like it.

you can start, end not finish or even miss an occasional turn for strategy. Certainly some may consider the play less sportsman like, but its all legal, and in no way cheating.
If you agree to a Real Time game specifically, and dont follow through, its still not cheating, but it is of course breaking your word, and therefore unsportsmanlike.
But none of it is cheating. Cheating is having two accounts, or making an alliance with another player and not announcing it. And can include people joining games together time after time and working together to wipe out the other players...this would be a defacto secret alliance.
The rest of it is just strategy, though some are more sportsmanlike than others.
Every experienced player in here knows they could gain huge points by using the freestyle loophole in every game, but almost none do.

It's not cheating. If you don't like it, don't play freestyle games.
ALL players have one hour to complete their turn once they begin,
so anyone in the game can finish after masta if they choose.
