Playing doubles with your brother on your team is not cheating unless, of course, your brother does not actually exist and you are really a multi.
One thing you should probably do, IF you and your brother are using the same computer and/or have the same IP address, is pm lackattack to let him know that you and your brother both use the same computer and/or IP address. Otherwise, I see no need for you or your brother to actually announce your relation at the start of the game, especially if you're on the same team.

i based my opinion on what people have said in the past...when they do polls, most people say "declare it"

Let me just get my brother & sign him up for CC...I'm not cheating
My point is that there is no way for you to prove you aren't trying to cheat, so if you beg lack, he will probabaly tell you that you can only play with him & never against him

ok i would say that you announce in game chat that you are brothers. for a start it will look suspicious if you have very similar names. watever you do NEVER play against each other or u will be asking to be banned. the only exception is if some1 you know is the third person and they are fully aware of the situation.
and DEFINITELY pm lack sayin u r brothers so as to avoid confusion.

My wife and I play doubles and don't announce it and I didn't beg lack. We also have played some singles games but with friends who know us. We have never been told we can only play with each other not against each other.
As far as I know there is no rule for the site that says you have to announce it in game chat but in a singles game I would, especially since your names are similar.

cdmilliner and I are in the same boat...granted most of our doubles are against other couples like the sempy's....but she uses her laptop, me my computer in the other room...and I made a move for her once when she was going to miss a turn.
As long as there are two distinct people making the moves, it isnt cheating, if someone complained about it in the game, since i mention it a lot, id deadbeat if they felt they were being cheated...
now obviously there are fake siblings out there, but they are more or less apparent...
and obviously we never play singles...i need her to play with me so she can understand why I play so much....does it help.....of course not

In a singles game, i declare if there is family in the game. But a doubles game? Cmon, some people take this game waaay too seriously.

Agreed. If they are playing on the same team, ie. a doubles team, what is wrong with that? It's teamwork, just because they are at the same computer I don't see a problem.
If there is 2 people, 1 IP address, and not playing against each other, I just don't see how that could be a problem.
