:? Refer-A-Friend :?

I sent an e-mail to a number of friends explaining to them the concept behind this site. I wanted to give them more detail than is in the auto generated e-mail, but I also wanted to get credit for any who decide to join, so I pasted a link into the e-mail which I think should do that.

I have since checked the "Refer-A-Friend" tab at the left and see one person who appears to have set up an account as a result of my e-mail (He just put in his first and last name as the user name), but he is not yet active.

The strange part is that the referral history shows MY alternate e-mail address where I assume his should be. I sent a referral to my alt address so I could see what link to paste into my more personalized e-mails. Is that maybe what caused this?

Is this a problem? Would this somehow trigger confusion as to multis if some of my other friends join and this listed e-mail glitch attaches to their referral info as well? Am I making any sense? Trying to explain it the best I can... :?

it's messed up. I had to resend many of my referals more than once because they never got it. I told them to check junk mail for hotmail, but still it just wasn't going through so I gave up on it for the most part and just give people the direct link now...

Luke035: It won't pose a problem that the R-A-F email is yours for that person who signed up. But I never considered the possiblity of sending out the same link to multiple people. If several people signed up from the same link one would replace the other and you will only get credit for a single referral, so be careful!

Moleacole: I don't know why the never make it sometimes. I do believe they are sent properly on our end.
