I dont know who to contact about this, so i thought i would just throw the question up on the forums.

i paid for a premium membership today, i received a receipt from paypal, saying the payment was sent to salamander software, however my account has not been changed to premium membership status. i want to create private games, but i can not. could somebody please direct me towards the right person to talk to? Lackattack is the webmaster, should i just PM him?

i tried to search for an answer, but could not find it. i apologize if the answer to my question is elsewhere.

thanks for your help

I don't think Premium accounts are activated the same day as their bought. It should show up within the new few days though.

Same here. If it isn't active something went wrong.

credit card payments should go through immediately. those payments tied to banking accounts will take a few days to clear the bank.

So it has been one business day, and no response from my emails or message via "contact form" (on FAQ/Contact webpage) Anybody have any ideas. Any moderators or admins around?

I dont really care if it takes a week for my account to get activated, i would just like to know that it WILL get activated in the near future

ak_iceman - sounds good.

wicked - sorry didnt read your message but FYI i didnt pay using credit card but i used PayPal, they pretty much act as an intermediate, so the money is transfered right away. infact the deduction has already been made from my account.

i guess i just want to make sure my money didnt dissappear, but since others havent had this problem i am guessing it is some random problem.

paypal takes longer than a credit or debit card.

so paypal deducts the money first, then sends it? i am not completely familiar with paypal. the times i have used it for ebay, or sending money to somebody, it has been really fast.

and yeah if it takes a screen shot i can provide one to an admin, but i dont see how it would help to post it on the forum. i definetly have a transaction number, that is tied with my account and salmander software's account.

on a side note

i am some what new to this site, and i just read about how people are addicted. and i think that explains best why i would really like my premium status. i am limited on the number of games i can play, and really want to setup some private games. so in short, CC is a drug, i have paid money, and the dealer (salamander software) is holding out.....quick guys i need my fix!! :D

saintx007, had you read the instructions on the Premium Membership page, you would have seen this:

Click this button to get Premium Membership. PayPal will let you pay by credit card (no signup required) or by bank account (where available, allow 4 business days to clear). After successful payment, this page will display your membership status.

Case closed.

Though I probably should revise the page to keep those instructions available after payment.

lackattack - thanks for the reply. in my defense, it didnt seem like anybody else had remembered that little note. also i have had a couple friends sign up recently and it didnt take that long. i guess i will have to wait 4 days. and i am not sure if this is possible or not, but maybe an email notice should be sent. usually when you purchase something and email receipt is sent fairly quickly. just a suggestion, no need to flame me for it
