at what point should the account be guested ?

As long as the original player intended the time frame to be.
Or when all games are finished and/or the player is eliminated (might not apply to team games for the latter) and there are no tournament games to join.

in response to green oaks, Funkyterrance has been gone a little over 2 weeks, he had told me he would be gone about 10 days, I would love to not be covering for him, but the fact is, I agreed to cover for him and i will continue to until he returns. If that means i accept invitations to games of tournaments that he's already started then i will, this includes the tournament i am playing in with him so that he does not forfeit and or miss turns. On that same note, I will never just put him in any games just for the sake of putting him in them either, nor will i put him in any games that i would be against him in. While i can understand why someone would want to know when he'd be back, no one would like to know that more than I. But the fact of the matter is, he's bought his premium, and as long as he's in a tournament I'll continue to cover for him until he returns.

i don't have a problem with you covering for him. that is why this is in Q&A and not C&A.

i noticed he was no longer in the forums and he was ALWAYS here.

so i suppose my next question is - if an account gets guested and the player comes back, do they get whatever if left of their premium at that point in time or whatever was left at the time of being guested?

Why would he be guested? Being guested is for breaking the rules. His would just be a dormant account, if he didn't return.

If someone is creating non-tournament games on an accout they are sitting == guest the sitter.

So this is cleared up nicely.
You are allowed to sit for someone and finish CURRENT games. There is no limit here, it takes as long as it takes, provided the sittee has intended or indicated he will come back. New games are NOT allowed to be made, with the exception of tournament games. Tournamentgames can be accepted up to a month after the vacation. if you spend 2 months away, you'd better cancel your tournament before you need a sitter.
Assuming funky is gone for 2 weeks, the sitter can accept yournament games for another 2 weeks at most.

there has been so much going on lately with people being guested i'd forgotten the traditional way someone drops off this site - they go dormant.
