Have searched, and am aware that you are kicked off after three missed turns, but what happens to the offending players troops?
Do they
Reset to neutral with just 1 troop
Reset to neutral with all the troops
Any help appreciated

In non-team games the player is kicked from the game and his troops are Reset to neutral with all the troops intact as they were.
So your last item.
Also, in teamgames, his teammate inherits his lands troops and spoils.

yes, indeed. the kicked players troops remain in the field, and when his last army is taken out, his spoils will go to the one who conquered him! indeed

and to top if off, if NOBODY kills the deadbeat player in a terminator game, the winner of the game will ALSO get the points as if he indeed killed the deadbeat player..

it assassin the deadbeat's target becomes the target for the deadbeated player. this sucks very much since nobody was hunting that player, but yea..
points go to whomever's target is killed first.

In a doubles game I would get his troops, territories and spoils? Would they all turn to my color or would I play them as his color?
How do the turns work? Would I basically just get one turn per round? Or would I play as if from his position and then my position?
Thanks

They all change to your colour.
Can be nice sometimes... you can complete a bonus zone that way... but in most cases your partner's missed turns still add up to a bigger disadvantage than what you gain.

indeed, leavers/deadbeats usualy happen for 2 reasons.
1) First turn a.k.a. regular deadbeat
2) Dropping after things go bad for them/ther team.
in both stuations you really need their help, because the first 3 turns are crucial. (missing a member on that stage is nearly always losing you the game, even for 1 or 2 turns, let alone 3). and f things are allready going bad, losing another player is not going to make things better.
so at the point where you inherit his troops, you're likely close to death anyway.

The turns would go as if your partner had been eliminated. So if you were red, your partner green and the other team as blue and yellow, it would go red turn, blue turn, yellow turn, red, blue, yellow, red, blue, yellow, etc. so it would still go as if your partner were missing a turn
