Have any of you received any good things in RL due to CC things? Here's one for me:

The English teacher at my school can't advise the high school newsletter anymore, so, I told the teachers that I was an editor for an online newsletter (CC Dispatch). They thought that was good enough experience to advise the team, so I get to be the advisor for next year's high school newsletter team!

Oh, nothing really. Unless you count taking my hard earned money, countless hours of my life, and causing me huge amounts of stress in multiple ways.

and i can ignore my wife because of CC

It prevents me from having to play the board game with people that never actually want to play, but only end up playing because I edge them enough.

I sometimes am able to talk shit about my ex wife on CC--I just wish I had met CC before my ex-wife--or at least before I was divorced from her. Would have made things so much easier

well, CC did really nothing for me, except to be pretty much my first avenue to the world outside of the US. I really only ever interacted with Americans before CC.

CC poisoned our water supply, burned our crops, and delivered a plague upon our houses!!!!!!

Actually, CC has done a huge amount for me.

1. It has given me a place to write...and improved my writing as a result.
2. It has allowed me to play my favourite game competitively.
3. It has given me the opportunity to get to know lot's of very interesting people.
4. It has given my friends and I a shared hobby over the years. We are all still playing, we all still love the game..and it is something we can chat about for hours in the pub.
