Sorry if this is located somewhere as i couldn't find it anywhere. So, i do not want to point dumb (i think that is "illegal") But i was wondering if i would be breaking any rules if i lost a ton of games on purpose to get back to 1000 so i could see how long it would take me to get back up.

Or better yet is it possible to just get the extra points "taken away (in a kind way)" that way i dont give them to someone that hasn't earned them.

It would be much funner to start over and make my way up again instead of just roaming around major... hoping i could get brig again... or getting pissed if i fall to captain again lol. (which i havent in a long time). But i roam around maj/col most of the time and i want to work for it again.

It would be cool if you could "prestige" as you can in call of duty.. where you unlock different style of a rank after you get to a certain level and then you lose every point you got, but move on to some more ranks.

What you can do i go medal hunting and play games you are lousy at, and improve yourself. You will risk more points that way, but you get a better player overall. Even so, it is unlikely you will go down to 1000 points. There is no do over.. That would be unfair to anybody you meet since they see a lowranker where you have high rank skills.

Just plain NO. ljex oddly just got warned for "game throwing". Not for intentionally losing but because he switched game types - started playing 1v1 which just could not support his rank unless he won them all. He lost 2000 points. He got warned.

If CC decides you are "point dumping" then you will get premium striped and site banned. Don't even appear to be dumping now especially since you posted this.

clarification, ljex seems to have gotten the warning because he gave up on game(s), coupled with his stated intention it was viewed as game throwing.

Like i said, is it possible to just strip 1200 points from me? that way i dont "dump" them to someone?

Also, i have lost over 1000 points just from shitty dice/drop in the period of only a few months before... why didnt i get warned then? point being that it is kind of bull that cc will screw someone by 700 points just by the end of round 1's when the player is trying... then when you try to do it yourself you get banned? it is CC, yes CC that screwed me over... i was about to quit the site altogether last year i believe it was. Yet when i want to do it is a NO ... JUST PLAIN NO?

I still think it would be awesome if we did some sort of a prestige mode.

You can loose points to other players. You can loose as a conqueror to a 700 point player. You will loose 100 points per game max, but it is possible. IN 1vs1 it is even more likely then in a teamgame. Still irrelevant. You WANT to loose points, by loosing games, this is not allowed. If you loose games by attempting to play better opponents on difficult settings, then that is allowed, as long as you do everything you can to win.
If someone starts 10 speed games freestyle and you join them all and the first player deadbeats, you can be accused of illegal point farming. (Almost) nobody can play 10 speedgames freestyle at the same time. The player offering 10 speedgames will be accused of pointdumping.
You want to loose points legally? Then fight tougher crowds and tougher settings. But you must always play to win, even if it is hard. You cannot just say, "Oh look neutrals, lets kill them" in a 1vs1 game, that is throwing the game just as if you intentionally deadbeated. Intentionally deadbeating is also a nono by the way...

So the long and the short is, reaching 1000 points is not a valid objective if you have more points. I have explained the rules clearly enough now. Let’s see if I can say something more catered to your interests..

There have been several suggestions in the past along the lines of making it more interesting and seeing if you are any good.. There was one I liked about an alternative scoreboard that would have a monthly reset. It would basically reset all scores (for that specific scoreboard only) every month, so you could see your progress. It has a big flaw. Say the conqueror would play 1000 games on 1vs1, he might (would actually) loose his #1 spot on the rankrelatd overall scoreboard, but he would most likely win a buttload of points on the monthly scoreboard, simply because he plays a lot of games…
Then he would win there too…

The monthly scoreboard was/is susceptible to a player playing a lot of games quickly over the more casual player. But something along those lines would be more of a challenge to your taste. I can also recommend the TPA tournaments to face off against a lot of good opponents and see if you can match them in skill and luck. But just getting a pointreset, that will not happen as it is unfair to everybody.

you would easily make it back to where you are because you have the skill of a Major but will be receiving points from games won as though you are a Cook.

No, you cannot split a bought premiumship into 2 parcels.
There is a link to the tournament handbook that speaks of "matched" premium that can be parceled out in 4x3 months parcels (or 2x6, 1x12)http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2141692#p2141692
Please note this is for tournament winners only, and the winner gets a full year, so negative. There is currently no way to split your premiumship, that I know off.
In exceptional cases i guess you could use an e-ticket with your stated request. However in this particular case, I don't think you will get a different reply.

Is there a reason for this? because honestly I think if lack made it, lets say 13.50 for 6 months(as an option), he will get many people that buy the 6 months instead of a year and he will be making profit... Plus it will make many users more happy

He's got a good point... it'd be beneficial to both members and the site.

yes it would. not to mention it would make it much more affordable to gift memberships to other people... which would also be making more money for cc

This has been suggested and rejected multiple times. Just one more reason against it, administration and bank costs would mean even less money is availiable to CC per transaction. CC pays a fixed fee PLUS % per transaction, as do most bussinessess when the get e-money and or creditcard payments

i can see that, but still i think it may be time for lackattack to consider it, im sure this site is making enough money... being able to buy every 6 months is really NOT that much to ask, it may be less money... barely... but why not just make premium good for 10 years at the small price of 250 dollars? lmao... seriously it is only every 6 months. i would love to be able to gift 6 month memberships to a few of my freemium friends as well as every once in a while to my clan mates

because lets say he gets 15 dollars out of every 25 sent to him. if we split it to 12.50 dollar, he gets -2.5 dollars per 6 months.. i dont think he wants to subsidize players that badly...

But lets say he gets 18 dollars out of every 25 sent to him. According to your logic that would bean for every 15 dollars he would make 8 (I saw 15 dollars because he could make the price of 6 months a little higher than half, more incentive to buy a year, but still the option would be there to get 6 months. Most businesses do that, the more you buy, the less you pay per unit...)

I understand it has been rejected before, I just wish lack would come in and give an actually reason, instead of mods giving guesses at the reason.. I know you are making an educated guess, and you are probably not far off from the real answer, I just want an exact answer lol

your math is flawless. Lets say he gets 18 out of 25. So 7 gets gone, lets asume that 7 would be gone on each transaction. Assume we want to go the same amount of cash to cc per year, so that would mean 2x7 + 18=32. Now devide by 2 = 16.
So instead of 25 for a year, you'd pay 16 er half year?

I do not dispute that it might work, and i think cc will enevitably go down that route. but not now.

Just assuming iamcoolerthenu is closer to the real figure then I am. this would mean CC would loose out on 9 dollars a year per player.. i dont think they would go for a worse business deal, do you?!

I think it is like 10-15%.... which is made up for by the $5 extra..

At some point you also have to at least pretend to consider customer satisfaction... after all most will take the 1 year for 25 ... in all honesty you take a poll and of all the premiums i guarantee that the votes would be something like 93% will stick with the 1 year, while 7 % might change. But you still got to consider in the fact that some of these freemium guys or brand new guys are going to want to test premium, buy it for 6 months... get hooked and addicted like the rest of us do, and then they will go with the value of 5 dollars off next purchase....

He might, but considering the alternatives out in the market(in ways of payment), the administration costs, the need to be globally accessible, the % and fixed fee cost per transaction getting the funds into the online account and drawing them into the company account for pay for stuff. Well it might all be quite difficult to handle. And lets face it, its not only not a huge amount, but its also not mandatory to have a premium account. So why not keep it easy for everybody?
