[Q&A]

Hey, I'm kind of new to this site and I was wondering something about one of the mechanisms. In the Classic map, if you're playing doubles and mutiple different players on the same team occupy a continent (so it's under control of the team but not one specific player), does anyone receive a bonus from that, or is it only when one person has the continent to himself. I'm assuming it's the latter, but I'm not quite sure.

Thanks

Yea one player has to own it, unfortunately. There is going to have to be some firing squads so you had better start making some blindfolds if you want that bonus.

In team games, zone bonuses must be held by a single player to have effect.
Game Type from the instructions https://www.conquerclub.com/public.php?mode=instructions3
..
..

To play a team game, try doubles, triples and quadruples. Quadruples games must be played with 8 players, triples games with 6 players, doubles games with 4 or 6 or 8. Teammates are determined by the sequence of players, for example the first two players and second two players make up two teams in a doubles game. In team games, you can deploy on your teammate's regions and reinforce to your teammate's adjacent regions (but not through them). The score is calculated per team. When a player is auto-kicked in a team game, the first surviving teammate inherits the troops and spoils. In team games, zone bonuses must be held by a single player to have effect.

When a team's score is calculated, is it based on the total scores of the teammates or the average score?

it makes no difference. You can simply use the total scores, since that is easyer calculating, but the end result is the same.
