Maximum Time allowed for a tournament to fill?

For instance, if I wanted to host a 256 player tournament. How long do I have to get people to join it? Assuming we have a fairly consistent flow of new registers.
Second question, largest CC tournament to date?

1 month per the rules tho i believe leway has been given in certain instances.
Largest tournament to date would be Highlanderattack's huge won, 2000+ people?

Yep, you have 30 days to get all tournaments filled, but if I see that your tournament is consistently getting new players as well as having the player list/tally updated on a regular basis, then I'll grant you extra time.
