Can a random game end up on a Beta map or are those blocked from the randomizer?

Im 99.99 percent sure that Beta maps are blocked from the random map selection

agreed, beta maps are not present in the current random map selection, but every map that is not beta is an option..
I got a fair few of maps i would have liked not to have...
nasty that...

The above is proof that kooler knows 99.99% of everything...whereas Seb DOES know everything...these are good things to know in the Q&A forum!

I was considering making one of the series tournaments a random map tournament with missions to accomplish (win via objective, win on a map starting with W, win in X rounds or less, etc) and was considering making one of the objectives win on a beta map if such an option were available.

nope sorry, there is also no way to steer the random maps, so you could easely play 50 games and never see the map in question..
but, you could always allow me to pick a map using a random generator out of the beta maps at the time of the finals....

unlikely to make it as a suggestion. beta maps can and will be changed during gameplay when changes are felt to be needed. This is why the maps are in beta, wierd things can happen.
