If my brother were to play on his computer in the same house as me, would that be detected as me having two accounts, or would I be able to play him?

It would be detected as being a multi, unless you have two different feeds into your house, but chances are you are using a router which would give you the same IP.

I am assuming you are honest, as is your brother. You could put eachother on the ignore list. It basicly prevents you from ever entering a game with your brother in it, which is the main concern in multihunting.

Basically, you'll want to avoid playing public singles games together.
